The December Challenge was to Give Back to our Community . . . and our teams did an amazing job! The team's and their parents were so thoughtful and in turn it helped show the Community how much Cayuga Minor Hockey cares! A very special Thank you to Jeff Potter of Re/Max Realty for supporting this month's challenge. The teams that participated learned the value of helping others and how they can "give back" . . . Wonderful Life Lessons! With good hearted competition, teams that did a good deed for those in our community, were entered into a draw to win an hour of ice time and a pizza party. Proudly listed are the teams and how they gave back. The Giving Back December Challenge winners were . . . .
Atom Rep!
For the December Challenge, the Midget Local League 2 collected/donated $$ to see their coach, Mike Burt and Assistant Captain, Cam Fess, get a pie in the face. The money raised was donated to the Cayuga Food Bank. The team raised $98.00 plus a couple food donations.
Peewee LL
The Peewee LL team collected food items for the Cayuga Food Bank. Each player was encouraged to contact 3 people and ask for donations. By doing so they were able to collect almost 200 lbs of food.
Orange Jr Tyke
The Cayuga Orange Tyke team was inspired by this month’s Spirit Challenge and wanted to not only make a difference within our community but demonstrate to our little ones that a small act of kindness can truly make a difference. A community member, with a young family, passed away this year as a result of an accident. This was going to be a difficult Christmas for the family so we thought our team could send them a Christmas card filled with gift certificates. The generosity of the team was overwhelming; there was over $500 worth of gift cards collected. The purpose of the challenge was for our team "to make a difference;" not only did we hopefully make the Family's Christmas a little more merrier, but we made a difference by teaching our little ones the meaning of compassion and generosity, and the act of love!
Novice LL
The team made a donation of $300 (Cash and Canadian Tire money) today on behalf of the Cayuga
Novice LL team to Canadian Tires Jumpstart program through Dunnville Canadian Tire. The team worked

and friends!
