What's up for Team Spirit this season . . .
Welcome to Team Spirit at Cayuga Minor Hockey! As with all parents, our children mean the world to us and we want them to enjoy all aspects of the game of Hockey. This is not only the skills learned on the ice but also the friendships made and learning about the community that supports us. Team Spirit wants to help all children to Enjoy & Achieve. Take a look at what we have planned and how you can help . . .

Our Mission Statement:

The Spirit Committee promotes a positive and energized environment for the children of CDMHA. By encouraging team work and promoting team spirit, we help our children build strong relationships, give back to their community and work together to achieve a common goal of making the arena a fun place to be. The Spirit Committee wants to instill that hockey is more than just a “Game”. Promoting team spirit encourages teams and parents to work together to build positive influential experiences that will inspire and energize generations to come

What is the Hockey Spirit Committee?

It is a group of parents and players that want to assist and help build team spirit for Cayuga & District Minor Hockey. Thru donations, sponsors and fundraising the Spirit Committee will enhance both Local League and Rep League team’s hockey experience.

What types of things will be done to promote Team Spirit?

How can I help out?

Please Email [email protected]
or some of the friendly faces around the arena that you can speak to are Barb Currie, Melissa Baisley, Jen deHaan, Sandra Fernandes or Julia Sutor.  It is a friendly, fun and easy way to be part of your child's hockey experience.

Hockey already takes up a lot of my time. Do I need to commit myself to a certain amount of time or jobs?

Help when you can! You can help by sharing ideas, taking pictures, spreading the word about an event or helping at an event. We all possess different talents. Some of which we don’t even realize! Parent and children involvement is always needed during events. It is a wonderful way for enthusiastic students to get volunteer hours and for parents to get involved in hockey without a huge commitment. By pooling our resources we can do this together!

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much! Helen Keller

Let’s give our kids many happy memories full of fun events that ensure they enjoy their time playing hockey, on and off the ice! We, as parents, will in turn enjoy it too!
