Atom LL2, 2013-2014 (Cayuga Minor Hockey)

The setting was Glanbrook arena, the opponent was Hagersville Hawks 11 but the team that carried the trophy out was . . .  CAYUGA !!!! What a win it was. Our team that boasts having an even 6 girls and 6 boys, kept their coaches, parents and friends all at the edge of their seats! Each member of the team worked great together and did an excellent job playing their positions. A well deserved "Awesome Job!" goes out to our goal scorers, Quinton Davidson for his 2 goals in the first 2 periods and Megan Kinnear with the winning goal in the 3rd period, with only 1.4 seconds left on the clock! 

The Percy Maplefest Hockey Tournament proved to be a fun weekend all around! Our team played 3 excellent games this past weekend. Each player used the skills they learned this year and the team spirit they all have and pulled off an A Division championship! We played teams from Clarington, Peterborough & Oshawa. Congratulations team and thank you to coaches and parents that made the weekend happen! A great experience for everyone!

What a great way to spend a Sunday! Pond hockey with our Atom team! Our players, parents & siblings enjoyed some great Canadian fun! These goofy kids made us laugh and remember what the game of hockey is all about. A great team bonding afternoon. Some wonderful food, hot chocolate with the all the fixings and some snow helped make our day so much fun. Everyone left tired, with rosy cheeks and wide smiles! Great memories to last a lifetime!

We are very proud of our players! After a nail biting game against Pelham, the team won the "B" Division Championship in the Cayuga Atom Local League Tournament. There was some great competition and many smiles were shared on Saturday. A very special mention to Rosemary who got her first two goals of the season that also happened to be the goals that allowed us to win our games! Great team work everyone! We will go and have some more fun in Port Colborne in February!

The Holiday Pancake Fundraiser proved to be a festive and enjoyable morning! Thank you to everyone that attended and donated generously to our team, the Cayuga Food Bank, Haldimand Norfolk Women's Shelter, Community Living and Cayuga Ball Park Lights Fund. The morning put smiles on many faces and sticky fingers on most!

Saturday December 7th 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM at the Cayuga Arena in the McSorley Hall. The Atom LL2 team wants to cook for you! Enjoy a pancake & sausage breakfast and a morning of fun! In the Spirit of the Season, bring donations of food for Cayuga Food Bank or donations of toiletries for Haldimand NorfolK Women's Shelter for FREE draw entries! Decorate cookies to benefit Community Living Haldimand. Help everyone enjoy a Happy Holiday!

Thanks to all the players, coaches and parents that made our team party a real BLAST! We have great spirit on our team and the party was a wonderful way to get to know everyone better. Their wacky game skills and crazy team photo should be enough to scare any of our opponents! We look forward to more fun times ahead!
