The Cayuga Stars U11 Team 1 proved that they have as much heart as they do skill this past weekend (Mar 20-22), skating away as the Champions of the Simcoe Tournament in support of breast cancer awareness.
Throughout the event, the Stars displayed remarkable teamwork, discipline, and grit. Facing off against tough competition, the players rallied together, showing the kind of perseverance that defines a championship team. Whether it was making the extra pass, backchecking with intensity, or standing tall in the crease, every member of the roster contributed to the golden finish.
Beyond the scoreboard, the team took great pride in participating in an event dedicated to such an important cause. Wearing their pink with pride, the Stars honored those affected by breast cancer, proving that hockey is about much more than just the game.
A huge thank you goes out to the coaches, parents, and volunteers for their tireless dedication, and a special shout-out to the players for their hard work and sportsmanship.
Way to go, Stars! You’ve made Cayuga proud and a great way to end our season.
