Awards Night

Thank you to all of the players, parents, families, coaches, and volunteers who filled the high school cafeteria to help celebrate our 2021-2022 season!!!
Congratulations to everyone for the following Awards! :

Members of the Initiation Program and Head Start to Hockey participated in their own Awards Days in April and awards were presented on behalf of CDMHA at that time.


ORIAL presented to the All-round U9 player.
Winner: Trenton Visser

GREG BAIRD MEMORIAL presented to the U15, U18 or U21 player who strives in hockey excellence, scholastics and community involvement.
Winner: Jacob Sutor

 presented to the U11 Rep and U13 Rep player who has shown exceptional hockey sense, good hockey skills and a team player. This player must possess "a lot of heart" for the game. They must be able to read a play and have the stamina to carry it through. This player must be well liked by his teammates and set an example for others to follow.
U11 Rep Winner: Gavin Fulsom, U13 Rep Winner: Hayden Visser

JEFF SHURR MEMORIAL presented to the U9 Local League player who exhibits Dedication, Enthusiasm, Spirit and Sportsmanship to the game. 
Winner: Rylynn Davidson

JERRY MEADOWS MEMORIAL presented to the Best Defenseman in the U13 division.
Winner: Lincoln Forster

JOE BAMRICK MEMORIAL presented to Best Goalie in Rep and Local League.
Local League Winner: Corbin Stewart
Rep Winner: Xavier Slotuik

JUDY OTTERMAN MEMORIAL presented to the U15, U18 or U21 player showing the most dedication to Cayuga Minor Hockey. Example, someone who not only plays hockey, but who has dedicated their time doing other things for CDMHA (timekeeper, referee, volunteer, coach, etc.)
Winner: Reegan Jenkins

KEN SELKIRK MEMORIAL presented to the Most Admirable Team Player in U13 Rep that gives their all to the team. Criteria includes: Dedicated to attending practices and games; shows respect for coaches, players and referees; always comes with a positive attitude to listen and learn; determined to do what is asked of them no matter how large the task; always willing to sacrifice for the good of the team. 
Winner: Lola Rae

SPENCER MITCHELL MEMORIAL Keeping The Spirit Of Hockey Alive With Fun and Friendship. Presented to a player who has shown commitment, enthusiasm and good sportsmanship within the Spirit of Hockey, with loyalty, respect, friendship and fellowship to those involved with the sport.
Winner: Charlie Gillyatt 

KEITH METCALFE MEMORIAL to recognize a member who has done outstanding work for the betterment of the organization.
Winner: Mike Forster 

DICK METCALFE MEMORIAL presented to team that went furthest in OMHA playoffs.
Winner: U11 Rep (OMHA Semi-Finalist)

WILLIAM HUMPHREY MEMORIAL presented to Local League team that had the best season.
Winner: U18 LL ("A" Semi-Finalist)

ESSO MEDALLIONS were also presented to each team’s Most Improved, Most Dedicated and Most Sportsmanlike players. Those receiving ESSO medallions were:

MOST IMPROVED: Zach Klassen, Dylan Link, Ryker Hurd, Tatum Thomson, Cameron Small, Eithan Reinink, Ella Hedley. McKenzie Erwin, Ian Elfner, Chelsea Link

MOST DEDICATED: Bett Hartwick, Keaton Worron, Jake Almas, Chloe Raos, Dakota Richardson, Mathew Watters-Schaeffer, Sebastian Raposo, Ian Everets, Kaelem Lang, Charlie Campbell

MOST SPORTSMANLIKE: Dawsyn Richardson, Liam Davidson, Carson Pond, Lincoln Brownell, Reed Baird, Jack Martin, Noah Regamey, Caylie Baird, Sean Kelly, Mitchell Shipstone
