What’s The Same, What’s Different?
Submitted By Teresa Metcalfe on Friday, August 27, 2021
Although we will still have some COVID protocols in place we are planning on being able to play normal 5on5 hockey, with normal team sizes, and a similar amount of games as in a normal regular season.

While the COVID vaccination clinic winds down in the Cayuga Arena, we will use our neighbouring centres’ ice until Sep 19. Please read the schedule carefully to make sure you’re heading to the correct arena. The schedule will be colour coded to hopefully make it a bit easier for you.

After our Pre-Season Conditioning Sep 8, 9 & 10, our first day on the ice for U8-U18 will be Saturday Sep 11 in Dunnville. U7’s will have ice time starting the following week and our U5 Head Start players will start in November.

Rep Tryout dates are different this season due to new rules from the OHF/OMHA. Tryouts won’t start until Sep 25. This means that all divisions will practice together for the first couple weeks until Tryouts are allowed to begin. If there are large numbers in a given division, we will split their ice times over 2 ice slots and players will attend per alphabetical order. Please read the schedule carefully for your specific practice times.

It is very important that you please review the COVID Protocols for Haldimand Arenas posted on this website so you are aware, and not taken by surprise by any of the rules – it may be different than arenas in other Counties/PHU's.

There are many other details we will work through as the season approaches and begins. As we are still in a pandemic, we will need to remain flexible to the ever changing environment but we will get through it all together.
