Provincial Lockdown Extended
As you know, the Provincial
Stay at Home Order has been announced for Jan. 14th until Feb. 10th.
Therefore, all
Haldimand County arenas will be closed until at least Feb. 11th.
At this point, the earliest we could be back on the ice is Feb
11th. ...
We hope the COVID-19 case counts will improve by then, but it’s too soon to know at this point. It’s also too soon to know if we would re-open in the “Orange” zone which we were in before the lockdown and able to play games, or the “Red” zone which would restrict the numbers on the ice such that games will not be possible.
We are working to keep hockey as an available outlet for our players if at all possible.
We are looking at all available options. Consideration is being given to extending the season subject to Provincial directives, Public Health Unit and Haldimand County protocols.
We will reassess all associated schedules/costs/fees/any potential refunds once more is known about the season’s end date.
As you all have done so many times this season, please continue to be patient as we are in a holding pattern until we get further direction from the Province.
We will keep posting any new information to this website as it becomes available.
In the meantime, please take care and stay safe.
