Spirit - November Challenge - Parade Float Decoration
Submitted By Julia Sutor on Thursday, November 01, 2018
It’s time to think Christmas again! This year the Cayuga Christmas Parade takes place on  Friday December 7 @ 6PM. Each year Cayuga Minor Hockey gathers their players to take part in this fun event. The theme for the parade this year is “Disney”.

Our challenge to the hockey teams is to create a decoration with the Disney theme in mind and give it some hockey flare! All the decorations will be proudly displayed on our float. The winning team will be decided the night of the parade. This challenge is sponsored by Grand River Heating and Cooling

Design and make a Disney themed decoration that will be put on our Cayuga Minor Hockey parade float. The float will be equipped with a generator for power. So include lights in your decoration, if possible, for the best effect!Include your team's name somewhere on the decoration. Deliver the decoration to 2050 Haldimand Road 17, Cayuga (home of Rob & Julia Sutor) by Monday December 3, 2018. The float will be assembled and brought to the Haldimand County Administration building in Cayuga on December 7, 2018.

Bring your team to the parade at 5:30 pm and be a part of the parade. Younger players will ride the float and older players will walk and help deliver candy canes to viewers. Dress warmly and wear your festive hats and lights! The parade route is short and normally over by 6:45 pm. Parents, for younger players, are encouraged to take part to help ensure safety for the younger players.
Teams are responsible for bringing their jerseys to wear during the parade.
