Congratulation to the Novice Rep team of 2015-16, on winning the SCMHA “C” Division Championship. After a hard fought game our Novice team game out on top with a 4 – 3 win over the Hagersville Hawks.
Leading the scoring for the team was Ethan Kindree with two goals at 8:34 and 1:20 of the second period. With the team down by one goal heading into the third period, Joshua Almas at the 8:36 mark, fired the tying goal. With the game tied, the boys turned it up a notch and the winning goal scored by Kaelem Lang at the 6:01 mark of the third period brought the team to victory. The team played hard holding off a charging Hagersville Hawks team to bring home, to the Cayuga arena, the championship banner.
Joshua Almas had a great game scoring a total of 4 points with one goal and three assists. Also contributing to the great win was, goaltender Eligh Drehmer, Jakob Mehlenbacher, Ethan Mehlenbacher, Javyion Elfner, Colton Small, Elias Camblin, Dale Stadder, Callum Gibbs, Reegan Jenkins, Lucas Baird, Connor Martindale and Tyler Foster.
Also congratulations to the amazing coaching staff, Reg Gibbs (head coach), Kevin Kindree (assistant coach and trainer), Ryan Gibbs (assistant coach), John Martindale (assistant coach and assistant trainer), Mike Klassen (assistant coach), Jeff Almas (assistant coach) and Marion Camblin (manager), for their time, dedication and hard work in coming together to develop this amazing young team.
