Novices Extend OMHA Semi-Finals Series
The Cayuga Novice Rep team is currently in the OMHA
semi-finals competing against the Plattsville Rage. The game 4 puck drops Saturday at 12:30pm in Plattsville.
They started a, first to 6 points series, on Saturday February 27 with an 8-3 loss in Plattsville. They then returned home to play the following day, determined to tie the series. Although they put out a gallant effort and played hard they unfortunately dropped another game to Plattsville being defeated 4-2 and going down 4 points to 0 in the series. After a few days rest and a fast paced practice the determined group of boys once again laced up their skates and took to the ice. On Wednesday March 3, with their backs against the wall in an all or nothing game, the Novice Rep. Team stormed the ice prepared and determined to win the game away from a confident Plattsville Rage team. From the first drop of the puck the Cayuga Novice Reps took charge of an exciting two way hockey game. With sheer determination and hard work they came out on top with a 4-3 victory. With the series now at 4 points to 2 they now will travel back to Plattsville on Saturday March 5 for a 12:30pm game to try and tie the series at 4 points a piece.
