On Saturday October 15th the players and parents got together in Selkirk for a Team Fundraising Activity. Hosted at the Cooper’s residence we broke out in several smaller groups and drove around collecting empties which will go towards the Atom Reps tournament fee’s. Truly a remarkable effort by this group as we covered Selkirk, Fisherville, parts of Rainham, Cayuga, Dunnville and possibly more.
The proceeds from this fundraising effort is truly appreciated by this group but more important is that we were able to gather the kids and parents together away from an arena and provide a opportunity to bond and get to know each other better without the pressure or stress at the arena’s.
Special thanks goes out to all those people who donated their empties to the Atom Rep Team, the players for their hard work in going to each house and explain what we were doing and to the Parents who drove the kids around to gather the empties and sort them out and re-load to take them in. Also to Cayuga Pets’n More for opening up at a special time to take all our empties, and of course to the Cooper Family who offered their home as a base and gathering spot for a successful team building exercise.
